Dr. Inelda Acosta was named Human Resources Director at ESC Region 11 in 2020. She received her Bachelor of Science in Education at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, in May 1999.  After completing her undergraduate, she began her teaching career as a Bilingual third-grade teacher with Arlington ISD in Arlington, Texas.  She was fortunate to have outstanding school administrators encouraging her to enroll in graduate school to pursue a graduate degree.  She graduated from the University of Texas in Arlington with a Master of Educational Administration in August 2008.  The completion of her graduate degree paved the way for her appointment as a campus administrator.

Dr. Acosta was an assistant principal in a secondary school and a principal in elementary and secondary schools in Arlington ISD, Arlington, Texas. While serving as an elementary school principal, she was inspired to pursue her Doctor of Educational Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce.  After serving as campus principal at the secondary level, she left the campus administration role to serve at the district level as a Director of Human Resources for Cedar Hill ISD in Cedar Hill, Texas.  Dr. Acosta concluded her Doctoral of Educational Administration degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce in December 2020. Her dissertation, Administrators' Assessment of Bilingual Teachers' Fidelity and Implementation of Bilingual Instructional Models, adds to current research for school administrators, teachers, instructional coaches, and specialists alike.  Dr. Acosta enjoys policy studies, research, and systems implementations.

Dr. Acosta’s experiences led to her position at the Education Service Center Region 11, and she relishes assisting and serving others.
