Texas Lesson Study (TXLS), a one-year program aligned to the goals of the Texas Education Agency, supports teachers through the process of internalization and implementation of their instructional resources through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).
The program provides professional development where teachers work collaboratively to develop, teach, and assess research-based lessons.
ESC Region 11 TXLS offers a variety of curriculum-based support in the form of foundational and advanced PLCs and a monthly coaching training schedule.

Texas Lesson Study supports educational staff by internalizing and implementing their instructional resources. TXLS is currently funded through House Bill 1605 and provides implementation support for campuses that use the Open Education Resources (OER).
The partnership helps teachers improve their effectiveness, engage in meaningful PLCs, improve student learning outcomes and make the shift from lesson planning to lesson internalization.
TXLS helps coaches and leaders establish a proven process for PLCs and learn how to facilitate PLCs using TEA protocols.
