Social Studies
The Social Studies Support Team for Education Service Center Region 11 is committed to providing researched-based professional development opportunities that build teacher capacity to effectively teach the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skill (TEKS) and prepare for success on state assessment instruments for all students in grades K-12.
We offer high-quality services to administrators and teachers, promoting the development of informed citizens from PK-12. Our program also provides technical assistance for the 21st Century classroom. We are available to customize workshops to meet specific district/charter needs.

Metroplex Social Studies Conference | June 24, 2025

The event will take place on Tuesday, June 24 at Region 10 ESC in Richardson, Texas from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Explore innovative ways to bridge literacy between RLA and social studies, enhance critical thinking, and integrate AI into social studies instruction. Through dynamic keynote speakers and engaging breakout sessions, you'll gain powerful strategies to help students analyze, interpret, and shape the world around them.
