Big words can be a barrier or a bridge to comprehension. For many students, they are where comprehension starts to break down.
In the session, we’ll focus on making complex words more accessible through explicit, systematic instruction in word reading, word meaning, and morphemes for grades 3-5. Participants will explore simple, practical routines to help students break apart words by sound and meaning, read them accurately, and understand them with confidence. Instructional strategies will be tailored to the grade level of the session so they can be applied right away. Register here.
