We are committed to helping districts implement the K-8 Open Educational Resources (OER) curriculum for Math and K-5 OER for Reading Language Arts, ensuring they have the resources needed for student success. Additionally, the ESC Region 11 Planning, Implementation, and Content Support Team provides comprehensive services including consultation, product training, coaching, lesson and unit internalization, and full grant cycle support.
We specialize in assisting districts that are considering High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) or looking to develop a vision for content area instruction. Our professional development catalog, grounded in Research-Based Instructional Strategies (RBIS), is tailored to meet the unique needs of each district. We also help identify available grants from the TEA to support district initiatives. Our department is dedicated to supporting educators in enhancing their instructional practices.
In the realm of digital learning, we provide extensive support for Canvas, AI integration, and the application of Technology Applications TEKS, enhancing instructional pedagogy. Additionally, our Science of Teaching Reading/Reading Academies empower teachers to implement strong research-based reading practices, with services such as campus and district walkthroughs, data collection and analysis, and job-embedded coaching to strengthen literacy practices across classrooms.
We also offer support through specialized programs such as Texas School Ready (TSR), a research-based model that improves early childhood education for at-risk preschoolers through professional development, coaching, and technical assistance. The Texas Reading Initiative focuses on building educator capacity with coaching and literacy conferences that promote the use of high-quality instructional materials to support knowledge-building approaches to learning. Additionally, Texas Lesson Study (TXLS) fosters teacher collaboration by refining lessons through a systematic process that deepens understanding of content area knowledge and promotes the internalization of effective practices.
