Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA)
The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) is a key part of House Bill 3, dedicated to recruiting, supporting, and retaining highly effective teachers in all schools, with particular emphasis on high-needs and rural schools.
Districts that choose to participate are charged with developing local teacher designation systems that measure teacher effectiveness based, at a minimum, on both teacher observation and student growth data. Teachers are put forth for designation through a local designation system created by the school district or charter and approved by TEA.
Let ESC Region 11 help you through the process of rewarding your teachers through TIA. We'll guide you along the TIA timeline and provide you with the most current information for getting your application processed.
