ESC Region 11 English Learner Support Team provides technical assistance and professional development opportunities for leaders and educators in Region 11 districts and charter schools.
We provide compliance and instructional technical assistance and professional development aligned to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) Emergent Bilingual Program Implementation framework.
Our professional development opportunities allow participants to experience and practice skills that will transfer to their role within the district/charter school. Support includes:

Bilingual and ESL Extravaganza | June 9, 2025
Want to celebrate the limitless potential of language and culture in our schools? The annual Bilingual and ESL Summer Extravaganza is back, offering a dynamic day of learning, affirmation, and collaboration for educators, leaders, and paraprofessionals!
Join us on June 9 at ESC Region 11 for a full day of breakout sessions designed to empower participants with the latest strategies and resources to support emergent bilingual students. Key topics in compliance, instruction, and assessment for bilingual and ESL classrooms will be covered.
Sessions will equip participants with practical tools and actionable strategies to enhance instructional practices and boost the academic success of learners. A vendor fair featuring supporting products and resources is also being held in conjunction with the event.

School districts and charter schools may leverage federal, state, and local funds, including Title III and the Bilingual Education Allotment (BEA), to pay for Emergent Bilingual (EB) Support Packages.
