School Nutrition Programs (SNP)
Two main programs within the School Nutrition Programs (SNP) are the School Breakfast Program (SBP) and National School Lunch Program (NSLP) which both provide healthy meals to Texas students in public and private schools as well as residential child care institutions.
The NSLP and SBP is a federally assisted meal program operating in public and nonprofit private schools and residential child care institutions. It provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free breakfasts and/or lunches to children each school day.
