    1. Establish positive teacher/student relationships that reflect mutual respect.

Targeted Supports

    • Teachers will customize the display of information to provide various ways of acquiring information and knowledge (i.e. provide alternatives for auditory information, provide alternatives for visual information).

    • Teachers will clarify vocabulary and symbols, support decoding, and promote understanding across languages to ensure that all students are able to acquire knowledge and demonstrate knowledge.

    • Teachers will activate or supply background knowledge, highlight patterns, critical features, big ideas, and relationships, and guide information processing and visualization to ensure that all students have the opportunity to acquire knowledge, make connections, and demonstrate understanding.

  • Aligned to T-PESS Standard 4: School Culture: The principal is responsible for establishing and implementing a shared vision and culture of high expectations for all staff and students.

    1.  Leaders will ensure teachers and staff collaborate regularly to address common issues related to curriculum, assessment, instruction, and the achievement of all students.
