1. How do I get on the vendor list for the school districts within Region 11?
You will need to contact each school district within our region directly. I recommend getting on a purchasing cooperative such as TCPN, TIPS, Buy Board, etc. because many of the schools within our region belong to purchasing cooperatives.
2. How do I get on the vendor list for ESC Region 11?
Vendor Registration tab on the "Purchasing Services" Web site and then register as a vendor for Public Purchase and ESC Region 11. Please include the classification codes in which you want to participate in future bids. After you register, you will see if there are any active bids. If there are no active bids for any of your classification codes, then you will need to wait until we go out for bid for the particular classification code that you signed up for. When Region 11 goes out for bid, we will send out a blast email to the vendors who registered for the particular classification code.
3. When do you go out for bid for a particular category or commodity?
Please click on our Bid Schedule page to see when we will be planning to go out for bid for a particular category or classification. Note that Region 11 reserves the right to go out for bid for a particular category whenever it needs to.
4. How do your award the bids?
Except as provided by this sub-chapter, in determining to whom to award a contract, the district shall consider:(1) the purchase price;(2) the reputation of the vendor and of the vendor's goods or services;(3) the quality of the vendor's goods or services;(4) the extent to which the goods or services meet the district's needs;(5) the vendor's past relationship with the district;(6) the impact on the ability of district to comply with laws and rules relating historically underutilized businesses;(7) the total long-term cost to the district acquire vendor' s goods or services; and(8) any other relevant factor specifically listed in the request for bids or proposals.
