SFSP Food Buying Guide

Food Buying Guide (FBG) class provides participants with information on FBG contents and using field data to complete food purchase calculations. Participants will receive hands-on practice to determine the amounts of food and beverages to purchase for planned food items in order to meet requirements for a reimbursable meal.
SFSP Food Production Records

This class teaches participants how to accurately complete required Food Production Records in order to support successful management and document compliance with the SFSP meal pattern requirements.
SFSP Planning Nutritious Meals and Snacks
May 9th, 2017 8:30am - 3:30pm
This class was developed to explain USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program meal pattern requirements and how to apply nutrition recommendations, tools, and resources in order for contracting entities to plan reimbursable, nutritious, economical, and delicious meals and snacks. Participants will receive hands-on experience developing menus. The class includes an overview of nutrition education resources offered to CEs.
SFSP Financial and Administrative Management
May 11th, 2017 8:30am - 3:30pm
Participants will review basic requirements for administrative and operational management, discuss best practices for financial management, and identify essential operational and administrative policies and procedures for a successful SFSP. Participants will have an opportunity to review and identify required documentation as well as learn key program terms. Other topics include identifying parts of a budget, financial documentation methods, and reviewing resources for SFSP management.
