Certification Programs

ESC Region 11 offers alternative certifications programs for individuals who are seeking to be teachers, principals, or superintendents. All of our programs are accredited by the Texas State Board of Educator Certification. Each program has its own entry requirements and start dates vary.
 
 
Teacher Preparation
For individuals who hold a bachelor's degree and are seeking teacher certification.
 
Principal Preparation
Three programs for educators in public and private school settings. 
 
The Alliance for Educational Leadership (AEL)
A one-year program for educators who already hold a master's degree and are seeking principal certification.
The Instructional Leadership Collaborative (ILC)
A two-year program in cooperation with Tarleton State University for obtaining a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a principal certification.
Principal Preparation Partnership Program (PPPP)
A two-year program in cooperation with Midwestern State University for obtaining a master's degree in Educational Administration and a principal certification. 
 
 
Superintendent Preparation
Texas Leadership Cooperative is a one-year superintendent certification program.
