• CTE and Students receiving Special Education Services

Chapter 75.1023 addresses provisions for students are who are members of special population in Career & Technology Education (CTE) programs. The regular education CTE courses should be the first consideration for students receiving special education services. If the Admission Review and Dismissal (ARD) committee determines the student is unable to receive educational benefits in a regular career and technology education a separate program may be designed to address the student's occupational training needs.
The following documents include Chapter 75.1023 Commissioner's Rules Concerning Special Provisions for Career and Technology Education and the Texas' Education Agency's State and Federal Program's General Guidelines and FAQ.
In 2013 the TEA's PEIMS personnel provided this presentation on modified and alternate courses documentation.
