Technology Olympics 2017
    Students are invited to demonstrate their knowledge and skills using assistive technology by competing in Technology Olympics.  

    Our Mission Statement for this event is “to provide a University Interscholastic League (UIL) type of environment of academic competition using skills and equipment unique to students with a visual impairment functioning at levels 3rd through 12th grade.”  Please encourage your students to participate.

    The date of the Technology Olympics is November 30, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  It will be held at the Region 11, Education Service Center.  Please refer to the following documents for required equipment and test formats for each event. 

    Students may choose one event per session.  There will be two sessions with various events.  It is hoped that this competition will raise the student’s level of motivation in using technology, in addition to making new friends and improving their self-esteem.
