The Business Center provides reliable, efficient, and cost-effective business services, solutions, and support to school district, charter school and education service center personnel.

The Business Center utilizes a costing method that incorporates clustering school districts and charter schools into an efficient processing model. The processing model is built on efficiency, compliance, effectiveness, and reporting.

The Business Center assumes the role of corporate controller and maintains the general ledger on a computerized accounting system that keeps track of all accounting functions for member school districts, in full compliance with the Texas Education Agency's Financial Accountability Resource Guide.

Education Service Center Region XI is an intermediary agency under the Commissioner of Education with an elected Board of Directors. ESC Region XI and the Texas Education Agency are partners in a number of statewide initiatives.
